Learning to Blog

Hi to all that happen upon my blog. I have been visiting many craft blogs lately and decided I would like to start my own. I love to create. I knit, crochet, rug hook, cross stitch, paint and sew. I really like looking at everyone's creations and decided to start sharing some of my own.
I live in newfoundland, Canada and as some may know, we have our very own unique style of crafts. I recently researched 'trigger mitts' and could not find a decent pattern online or around our beautiful province. It seems most ladies knit them from their heads like I watched my grandmother do so often. I have since modified a glove pattern and added in the double knit diamonds and made my son a pair - they worked! I will post a picture soon.
"Work is a waste of life". I join the group that wishes they could stay home during the day just to craft - and make a decent living at it. Unfortunately, I am unable or unwilling to give up the job that allows me to purchase my wool and material and let my stash grow without worrying about it. I enjoy the thrill of new supplies and really think I get a high from the purchase. Who needs mind altering drugs, I just need my visa.

I have been trying to set up my site like the one I have been visiting lately - Hedgehog Knits - no luck. I may have to e-mail her and ask how it is all done. I would like to have a side bar with objects finished and pictures but no such luck yet.
The Kwanis Music festival is almost upon us and I have to start getting my daughter ready for her musical theatre. I am posting her last year's outfit. She was LUCY from Charlie Brown and I am posting her outfit below. Ok, it showed up above. She is doing a duet with a Charlie Brown this year so she can wear this dress again - she's a slow grower or as my son says she has chronic shortness.
I also made our dog a ski-dooing coat that I thought someone may like to see. I will put it here on this post somewhere - can't be sure where it will go. Ok up with the other picture. Anyways the fleece was a $10 no sew throw from Walmart and I also got two dog pillows out of it - BARGAIN!
My husband just stated he may never see the computer again so it's time to share. Later.
